Government Settles Outstanding Scholarship Grants
Local Scholarship Scheme
Mr Agyeman said the government had introduced a local tertiary scholarship scheme under which fees of beneficiary students were paid . He Said Gh10 million cedis had been paid so far to beneficiary students from local tertiary scheme. Mr Agyeman said the Scholarship Secretariat was going to allocate GH 300,000 for the local tertiary scholarship programme for students in the Nsawam/Adoagyiri District to promote education in the area. He pointed out that the introduction of the scholarship secretariat , adding that the aim was to enhance access to the services of the secretariat by scholarship applicants.
Quality Education
In his remarks . Mr Annor Dompreh said the advanced countries had been able to develop their economies due to the provision of quality education for the youth.
He said the introduction of the free Senior High School (SHS) policy by President Nana Akufo Addo Dankwa was to improve access and promote quality education and therefore , urged students in the district to take advantage of scholarship schemes in the country to further that education
