UDS Instructions for 2019/2020 Academic Year TTFPP

THIRD TRIMESTER FIELD PRACTICAL PROGRAMME (TTFPP)

INSTRUCTIONS FOR 2019/2020 ACADEMIC YEAR TTFPP

Due to COVID-19, this year’s TTFPP has been restructured to enable students work from home and present reports of their work to the University. Students should work as individuals and not in groups.

LEVEL 100:Students are to write reports about their communities of current residence using the student guide/template which has been sent to all students through the University e-Learning platform and through faculty/school TTFPP Coordinators. All students are to access the guide/template on the University e-learning platform even if you have already accessed the template through your faculty Coordinator’s platform. Accessing the template via the e-learning platform ensures that you have automatically enrolled for TTFPP and your particulars will be captured for TTFPP. Reports should also be submitted through the University e-Learning platform (click here) and the School/Faculty Coordinators’ platforms.

Where there is difficulty in accessing the University e-Learning platform, students should use the Faculty Coordinators’ platforms form assessment of the report writing template and submission of reports.

LEVEL 200:Students are to select one (1) of the problems identified in the community you visited in Level 100 and develop an intervention proposal to solve the selected problem. All students are to access the proposal writing guide/template on the University e-learning platform even if you have already accessed the template through your faculty Coordinator’s platform. Accessing the template via the e-learning platform ensures that you have automatically enrolled for TTFPP and your particulars will be captured for TTFPP. Reports should also be submitted through the University e-Learning platform (click here) and the School/Faculty Coordinators’ platforms.

LEVEL 200 POST DIPLOMA: All Level 200 post-diploma students who were not in TTFPP communities last year should select one (1) problem in their communities of current residence and develop an intervention proposal to solve the problem. Like other students they are to access the proposal writing guide/template on the University e-learning platform even if you have already accessed the template through your faculty Coordinator’s platform. Accessing the template via the e-learning platform ensures that you have automatically enrolled for TTFPP and your particulars will be captured for TTFPP. Reports should also be submitted through the University e-Learning platform and the School/Faculty Coordinators’ platforms.

LEVEL 300:Report writing Guides/templates have been sent to students by Departmental/Faculty/School Coordinators. All reports are to be submitted to the Department/Faculty/School Coordinator.

NB: 

All Level 100 and 200 students should download the applicable attached report writing guides/templates from the UDS e-Learning platform even if they have already accessed them from their faculty/school coordinators’ platforms.

  1. Login to your account on the UDS e-Learning Platform using your username (UIN) and password.
  2. Select the relevant TTFPP course on your dashboard. For Level 100 students, it is FPT 120: THIRD TRIMESTER FIELD PRACTICAL PROGRAM I; and FPT 220: THIRD TRIMESTER FIELD PRACTICAL PROGRAM II for Level 200 students.
  3. Click on the Assignment TEMPLATE FOR COMMUNITY REPORT WRITING. Carefully read the instructions given and take note of the deadline stated.
  4. Download the template file attached to aid you write your community report.
  5. To submit your report, click on Add Submission below the Assignment’s details. Select your file for upload. The accepted file types are pdf, doc, docx and the maximum size allowed is 10MB.
  6. If you are unable to access your UDS e-Learning account, click here to chat with the UDS e-Learning Support via WhatsApp. You can also send in your complaints through SMS to 0540449939

Note that the University’s e-Learning Platform has been zero-rated by both MTN and Vodafone, thus usage does not attract data charges.

Reports should be submitted to the Directorate of Community Relations and Outreach Programmes (DCROP) through the University’s e-Learning Platform and also to the Faculty/School Coordinators not later than 21st august 2020.

Level 300 students should work with and submit their reports to their Faculty/School coordinators.
