AngloGold Ashanti (GH) Ltd Recruitment Application 2021 For Job Title: Security Integrated Systems Officer

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Ensure all equipment/material required to perform duties are in good working order
  • Ensure availability of appropriate levels of essential spares, material and equipment for immediate replacement in event of equipment / system failure or breakdown
  • Implement and maintain a work schedule on equipment and materials for planned maintenance work, regular inspections, daily repairs and service and job assignment
  • Liaise with Systems Administrator, other departments / clients on request and feedback on specific new installations, equipment and materials
  • Ensure availability for afterhours call out on equipment / system failure or breakdown
  • Ensure confidentiality is maintained on all password information change
  • Work in close co-operation with the Systems Administrator to ensure that the system functions at optimal efficiency and that upgrades, special and maintenance work is properly scheduled and implemented according to standard
  • Strive to ensure 100% system availability and utilization of all systems
  • Install special installations on request when and where needed

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Computer Science or a Diploma in Systems Software.

Experience

  • Three (3) to Five (5) years’ Security Systems experience or other technical exposure
  • Experience and skilled knowledge in investigations will be an advantage

Technical Competencies

  • Completed Electrical Competency requirements;

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Ensure section’s compliance with the requirement of Government of Ghana Agencies, lending institutions, shareholders’ interests, environmental, health & safety legislation and company regulation
  • Responsible for Safety, Environmental, and Social Responsibility policies for the section and accept personal responsibility for the health and safety of every mine worker under or assigned to his/her supervision.
  • Ensure safe planning of maintenance work during shutdown in all areas on site ensuring the work is in compliance with plant and electrical safety obligations to meet safety targets.
  • Demonstrate safety behaviour consistent with AGAG’s vision and values.
  • Lead by example to create a suitable safe work environment to motivate staff, employees and contractors to achieve optimum effectiveness, productivity and operating costs
  • Support and make room for continuous improvement of safety performance.
  • Support the Maintenance Planning Manager by planning all process plant and equipment shutdown activities.
  • Contribute the refurbishment project and maintenance team with accurate work plans for shutdown.
  • Liaise with the Planning Manager and Project Manager to set work program and target milestones for each phase based on the project plan for shutdown.
  • Monitor critical activities based on the shutdown project schedule and advise shutdown project management accordingly.
  • Prepare and submit updated shutdown work program and cash flow curve showing actual timeplan and identify areas of weakness and establish means and methods for recovery, if any
  • Monitor day to day shutdown work progress and prepare the daily progress and close out report.
  • Maintain and record update of shutdown work progress obtained from Project Managers and Engineering Manager
  • Support the provision of master shutdown project schedule updates with respect to refurbishment and maintenance activities
  • Support the rollout, implementation and training of SAP maintenance system and smooth transition of the system into the operational phase for use in shutdown planning and execution in all on-site areas. Ensure the operating team is appropriately trained and proficient in using the shutdown planning portion of SAP system, to support a smooth shutdown execution.
  • Proactively manage change to avoid potential project cost and schedule overruns.
  • Ensure spares inventory supports current and future shutdown planning requirements.
  • Identify and implement shutdown opportunities to help prevent reoccurring failures that may adversely impact on production.
  • Provide inputs into the identification of reliability monitoring by recognizing irregular and unusual repetition of potential maintenance activities.
  • Ensure asset purchases are effectively and efficiently done in through structured system that is consistent with AGA policies.
  • Provide input to due diligence for procuring goods and services to support the refurbishment work and maintenance plan.
  • Adhere to procurement procedures and processes.
  • Ensure cost codes are correctly allocated to all refurbishment activities.
  • Assist in the development of quality and performance reporting metrics
  • Interface with Contractors and/or Construction teams regarding refurbishment works that support the overall work plan, schedule and expectations.
  • Interface with the operational readiness team, particularly around the rollout and implementation of SAP.
  • Complete the skills matrix and maintain up-to-date

  • Advise refurbishment and maintenance works progress and KPI status to the Maintenance Control System Advisor, particularly potential cost, schedule or quality variances.
  • Identify and address shutdown and SAP implementation risks, by communicating potential issues to stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Inspect shutdown works to validate progress and status.
  • Participate in formal monthly risk reviews.
  • Proactively identify and manage change in assigned area of responsibility to avoid potential cost, schedule and quality issues.
  • Provide input into the commissioning plan.

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualification

AngloGold Ashanti (GH) Ltd Recruitment Application 2021 For Job Title: Central Control Room Lead – Surface Electrical & Instrumentation

ROLE PURPOSE

The Central Control Room Lead – Surface Electrical and Instrumentation is accountable for the monitoring and control of the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system, CCTV and Fire Detection systems through the application of operational policies, standards, processes and procedures to maximise plant availability in a sustainable safe and cost-effective manner and minimize operational risks in order to meet the business’ strategic objective.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Work according to total quality management principles & ensure zero defect objectives & safety
  • Adhere to site’s Environmental Management Plan
  • Gather information for the E&I Superintendent – Surface Mine Infrastructure and Mining leads for reporting performance
  • Ensure Safe Process operation and optimization (start-up/shut-down, adjusting set-points of control loops and monitoring the process to deliver target production and quality results)
  • Communicate with other surface fixed plant and underground workers and provide them with direction and guidance
  • Communicate with maintenance personnel on the fixed plants and underground infrastructure to coordinate the safe start-up and shut-down of equipment for maintenance work
  • Communicate with and provide feedback to the operational team on process performance
  • Assist the Surface E&I Superintendent to develop condition monitoring routes and checks for infrastructure equipment;
  • Analyse and trend predictive maintenance data (vibration, temperature, etc) to determine control infrastructure condition and report this condition for action
  • Monitor general physical condition of Central Control Room assets and report
  • Monitor preventive and corrective actions as necessary

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualification

  • Minimum of BSc in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or equivalent

Experience

  • An experienced electrical, controls and instrumentation maintenance or Process control Supervisor with 3+ years’ experience in, preferably, Mine Infrastructure maintenance
  • Knowledge and Experience in Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems and PLC (at least 3 years)
  • Knowledge & Experience in Process Control Systems or Mine Operations
  • Good Knowledge in computer networking and data management systems.

Legal Requirements

  • Must possess Inspecting Engineer Certificate of Competency from Mineral Commission of Ghana.
  • Professional Certificated Supervisor with a relevant certification body

Technical Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of control room operations
  • Strong SCADA system and PLC competencies
  • Should have analytical skills to be able to evaluate information and solve complex problems.
  • Detail oriented to understand complex systems, and recognition that a minor error can cause major problems.
  • Good knowledge in Studio 5000 programming software, electrical control systems, Transmission system and Synchronization systems
  • Good in data historian analysis and trend for trouble and system/machinery fault detection
  • Knowledge in E300 motor control relays configuration system
  • Experience in UPS working, running and maintenance procedures
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Project and Excel
  • Must be able to communicate about technical issues both orally and in writing
  • Knowledge of production unit operation, engineering, or maintenance practices
  • Ability to operate various switches, control devices and valves, and knowledge of the effect each has on total plant operations
  • Server management systems, Computer Network Systems, PLC Programming, Server 2012 or above.
