What is BA Textile Design And Technology ?

Across three specialist pathways BA Textile Design explores traditional, digital and experimental approaches to textile design. Specialising in Print, Knit or Weave, you will maximise your potential by developing an individual design philosophy, informed by historical, cultural, technical and sustainable knowledge.

KNUST Bachelor BA Textile Design And Technology Entry Requirement

WASSCE/SSSCE APPLICANTS

Credit passes in Three (3) SSSCE/WASSCE Core Subjects; Including English Language, Mathematics, and Integrated Science or Social Studies, plus credit passes in any three (3) electives from the following disciplines: Visual Arts, Home Economics, Technical, Science, General Arts, and Business.

A’ LEVEL APPLICANTS
FIVE (5) credit passes at GCE O’ Level including English Language, and Mathematics, plus THREE (3) passes at the A’ Level

MATURE APPLICANTS
Applicants must be 25 years at the time of submitting the application. In addition to passing a written and oral Examination, applicants must have;
EITHER
FIVE (5) credit passes at GCE O’ Level (or its Equivalent) including English Language and Mathematics.
OR
Credit passes in three (3) SSSCE/WASSCE core subjects including English Language, Mathematics, and Integrated Science, plus credit passes in any three (3) elective subjects from the
following disciplines: Visual Arts, Home Economics, Technical, Science, General Arts, and Business.

HND AND DIPLOMA CERTIFICATE IN RELEVANT AREAS
Applicants may be admitted to start either from the SECOND (2nd) or THIRD (3rd) year based on performance at the interview. Preference would be given to Textiles and Fashion Design Applicants.
