KNUST Bachelor BFA Painting and Sculpture Entry Requirement

WASSCE/SSSCE APPLICANTS

Credit passes in THREE (3) electives from the following groupings:


I. VISUAL ART: General Knowledge in Art, and any TWO (2) Visual Arts Elective Subject.
II. HOME ECONOMICS: General Knowledge in Art, and any TWO (2) Home
Economics Elective Subjects.
III. TECHNICAL: General Knowledge in Art, plus any TWO (2) Technical Elective Subjects.
IV. SCIENCE: General Knowledge in Art, plus any TWO (2) Science Elective
Subjects.
V. GENERAL ARTS: General Knowledge in Art, plus any TWO (2) General Arts Elective Subjects.
VI. BUSINESS: General Knowledge in Art, plus any TWO (2) Business Elective Subjects.

A’ LEVEL APPLICANTS
i. FIVE (5) credits at O’ Level, including English Language, Art and Mathematics and passes in TWO (2) passes at A’ Level Subjects.

MATURE APPLICANTS
Applicants must have attained the age of 25 years at the time of submitting the application, with at least THREE (3) years working experience.
EITHER
FIVE (5) credits at O’ Level including English Language, Mathematics, and Art.

OR
Credit passes in General Knowledge in Art, and any TWO (2) Subjects
IN ADDITION, Applicants must pass an interview and practical examination.

HND APPLICANTS
Applicants who possess an HND in Creative Art or Equivalent Diploma will be admitted into SECOND (2nd) or THIRD (3rd) year of the Programme. Applicants must also pass an interview.

DIPLOMA CERTIFICATE IN EDUCATION IN ART AND RELATED FIELDS
Applicants may be admitted to start the SECOND (2nd) year based on performance at the interview .
