What is Bsc Development Planning ?

This bachelor’s degree is designed to prepare students for careers in urban, rural and sometimes even industrial planning at both a local and national level. Students also often learn about the regulations that affect development in their area.

KNUST Bachelor Bsc Development Planning Entry Requirement

WASSCE/SSSCE APPLICANTS

Credit passes in THREE (3) Elective Subjects from any ONE (1) of the following options. THREE (3) Electives from Group A or Two (2) from Group A and One (1) from Group B:

Group A: Economics, Geography, Government or History, Elective Mathematics, General Knowledge in Art.

Group B: Introduction to Business Management, Accounting, Business Mathematics and Costing, Graphic Design and Picture Making.

A’ LEVEL APPLICANTS

Applicants must have FIVE (5) credits at the O’ Level, including English Language and Mathematics plus THREE (3) A’ Level passes or equivalents in the TWO (2) Subject Groups below:
(a). Either all Subjects from Group A or
(b). Two (2) subjects from Group A, and one (1) subject from Group B

GROUP A: Economics, Geography and Government
GROUP B: Mathematics, Statistics, General Knowledge in Art, Government, Accounting and Business Management, Plus a pass in General Paper.

MATURE APPLICANTS

Applicants must have attained the age of 25 years at the time of submitting the application.
EITHER
FIVE (5) credits at the O’ Level including English Language and Mathematics and a Science Subject. In addition, applicants must show interest in the area of development and planning.
OR
WASSCE/SSSCE credit passes in THREE (3) of the following Elective Subjects:
Economics, Geography, Mathematics, General Knowledge in Art and Introduction to Business Management.
Applicants are required to pass qualifying examination and interview
