KNUST IDL Post-Basic Midwifery Access Course – The Institute of Distance Learning, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, wishes to inform prospective students and the general public that application e-vouchers for admission to Nursing Access programme of the University through the Distance Learning Mode.

What is Post-Basic Midwifery Access Course?

The Post Basic Midwifery programme is a four-semester (two year) Diploma programme for serving officers who have completed either the Nurse Assistant Clinical (NAC) or Nurse Assistant Preventive (NAP) Programme.

KNUST IDL Post-Basic Midwifery Access Course Entry Requirement

NOTE: 

Holders of the above-mentioned Certificates or any other Certificate from institutions that are not accredited by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) of Ghana are not eligible to apply. 

The Nurses Access Course is for applicants deficient in the entry requirements for the Nursing Diploma programme.

The Access Course will start in May, 2021.

Holders of the above-mentioned Certificates or any other Certificate from institutions that are not accredited by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) of Ghana are not eligible to apply.

Career Opportunities For Post-Basic Midwifery

You could take further training to specialize in areas like ultrasound or neonatal care. With experience, you could become a ward manager or team leader. You could also train to become a health visitor, a director of midwifery or midwifery consultant.
