#### Admission Requirement For Bsc Mathematics Universities In Ghana

All secondary and postsecondary certificate holders who meet the entry requirements are targeted by the B.Sc. Mathematics program. Foreigners and residents of the local area are both welcome to enroll. The following criteria must be met in order to apply to the program:

**SSSCE/GBCE**

Any three elective subjects from the following list: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Elective Mathematics with an overall score of 24 or higher. Credit passes (A-D) in core English, core Mathematics, integrated science or social studies, and any three optional subjects from the list above.

**WASSCE Applicants**

Any three elective subjects from the following list: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Elective Mathematics, with a cumulative score of 36 or above, and at least a credit (A1-C6) in core English, core Mathematics, integrated science or social studies.

**A LEVEL Certificate Applicants**

The applicant should have three (3) Advanced Level passes in the pertinent disciplines in addition to credit passes in five (5) GCE “O” Level courses (including English and Mathematics). A passing grade on the general paper is also required.

**HND/Diploma Applicants**

After passing an interview, HND holders (Upper and Lower Division) with suitable backgrounds may be admitted to the third year of the program; HND First Class holders may be admitted without an interview. Holders of a two-year diploma (Upper and Lower Division) may be admitted to the second year of the program without an interview, while holders of a three-year diploma with distinction may be admitted directly to the third year.

**Mature Applicants**

- The applicant’s age must be at least 25;
- Using a birth certificate or other acceptable documentary proof of birth date, the applicant must demonstrate legal proof of age;
