The University of Ibadan is a public research university in Ibadan, Nigeria. The university was founded in 1948 as University College Ibadan, one of many colleges within the University of London. It became an independent university in 1962 and is the oldest degree-awarding institution in Nigeria.

What is the jamb cut off mark for University of Ibadan?

The UTME Cut off Mark for UI is 180. Candidates should have made University of Ibadan their first choice in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination. Also, Candidates must have at least 5 Credit Passes in one sitting in the relevant O’Level subjects including Mathematics and English.

UI Admission Requirements For 2023/2024

Below are the requirements for candidates that wish to gain admission into UI through JAMB (UTME):

1. A minimum of 5 credits in the Senior Secondary Certificate Examinations (SSCE/GCE) Ordinary Level Credits in a maximum of 2 sittings.
2. You must choose the correct JAMB subject combination for your course.
3. Candidates must score at least 160 in the just concluded JAMB UTME examination to be offered admission into the University Of Ibadan.
4. UI Must be your First Choice of Institution.
5. You Must Participate in UI POST UTME/SCREENING to be considered for admission if any for the year.
6. Candidates must have reached the age of 16.

UI Requirements For Direct Entry (DE) 2023/2024

Below are the requirements for candidates that wish to gain admission into University Of Ibadan through Direct Entry:

1. A minimum of 5 credits in the Senior Secondary Certificate Examinations (SSCE/GCE) Ordinary Level Credits in a maximum of 2 sittings.
2. JUPEB/A’ Level passes in Related subjects.
3. Degree (First Class/Second Class Upper) in related fields for your course of choice.
4. Direct entry candidates are required to purchase the UI Direct Entry form through the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) And UI Portal.
5. A minimum of Merit Pass in the National Certificate of Education (NCE), National Diploma (ND) and other Advanced Level Certificates.
